At Swypit™, we believe in giving back to our local community along with causes and organizations doing good in this world.
“I believe that you need to give back.
If you don’t give to the community, then you shouldn’t even be in business.”
–Kevin Hodes
Owner & Founder, Swypit™
Kevin Hodes’ belief in giving back to his community and causes he cares about is a cornerstone philosophy of his character and business.
Kevin is driven in part by his love for his cousin, Lieutenant Robert M. Hess, a 25-year veteran of the Fire Department of New York City who died from 9/11-related lung cancer on May 2, 2010.
A portion of Swypit’s profits go towards helping families of fallen and disabled soldiers and collectively, we’ve raised and donated more than a million dollars. Kevin is particularly passionate about this cause as he believes the families of fallen military members are often overlooked. He wants these families to know that their sacrifice is deeply appreciated and that we understand our freedom isn’t free.
Kevin was honored to serve as an Executive Producer on the Emmy-winning documentary film about the organization, Folds of Honor, which provides educational scholarships to the families of fallen and disabled service members.
Swypit™ is the proud sponsor of the Texas Legends annual Military Night which benefits both Folds of Honor and The American Fallen Soldiers Project. Kevin is a former board member for the American Fallen Soldiers Project, which creates original portraits of fallen service members to give to their families.
